The First Luminous Mystery: Christ’s Baptism in the Jordan

1. In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mt 3:1-2).  Hail Mary…
2. Then went out to him Jerusalem and all Judea and all the region about the Jordan (Mt 3:5).  Hail Mary…

4. [John said], “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I; … He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire” (Mt 3:11).  Hail Mary…
5. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him (Mt 3:13).  Hail Mary…
6. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” (Mt 3:14).  Hail Mary…

The Second Luminous Mystery: The Wedding Feast at Cana

2. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine” (Jn 2:3).  Hail Mary…
3. And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me?  My hour has not yet come” (Jn 2:4).  Hail Mary…
4. His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you” (Jn 2:5).  Hail Mary…
5. Now six stone jars were standing there, for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons (Jn 2:6).  Hail Mary…

The Third Luminous Mystery: The Proclamation of the Kingdom

1. Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I’m the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (Jn 8:12).  Hail Mary…
2. In him [Jesus] was life, and the life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (Jn 1:4-5).  Hail Mary…
3. Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel” (Mk 1:14-15).  Hail Mary…
