I watched Life is Beautiful tonight with the Family. Towards the end, when the little boy cries out “Mommy!” when he sees her alongside the road, I bursted out in tears. I don’t know what came over me. This is the sixth time I’ve seen the film, and every time I’m always so emotional… I was fine – even annoyed by my relatives constantly asking questions about what’s going on (they don’t understand English, let alone subtitles). But, when that scene came on, nothing else mattered and I was totally engrossed in the moment.
Needless to say, all my relatives were laughing at me. I blame my sensitivity on the estrogen-producing soybeans that I eat daily.
