My first lead call was from a guy who wanted to refinance his $2 million home. Wow. I don’t think this lead will get hot. I screwed up with the quoting, and he might not be confident enough with my service. But, it was nice to know that I had such an opportunity. Maybe I can salvage a relationship, yet.
The most important thing that I learned today getting live leads was that I have a lot to learn. My gosh, I need to crunch numbers in my head fast enough – quote rates quick enough – to instill confidence to my clients. I realize that I am being hard on myself for my first day, first (and only) call. However, I am recognizing that I need to humble myself and learn fast.
