A Prayer during Eucharistic Adoration

O God, you are my God, for you I long; for you my soul is thirsting.  My body pines for you like a dry, weary land without water.  So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.

Prayer for the Souls at Garissa University

Let us pray for the 142 Christian students and five security guards who were murdered at a university campus during our Triduum celebrations last Holy Thursday.  May God welcome their souls and give solace to the parents suffering from this loss.  Lord, have mercy…

Glory to Thee Who Safe Has Kept

Glory to thee who safe hast kept,
And hast refreshed me whilst I slept!
Grant, Lord, when I from death shall wake,
I may of endless life partake.

Wake and lift up thyself my heart
And with the angels bear thy part
Who all night long unwearied sing
High praise to the eternal King

Lord, I my vows to thee renew;
Scatter my sins as morning dew;
Guard my first springs of thought and will,
And with thy self my spirit fill.

Direct, control, suggest this day,
All I design, or do, or say,
That all my powers, with all their might,
In thy sole glory may unite.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Grant Us to Celebrate the Lord’s Passion

Almighty ever-living God, grant us so to celebrate the mysteries of the Lord’s Passion that we may merit to receive your pardon.  Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

Seek with Our Hearts and Deeds

We humbly ask you, Father, to save us from every evil and trial on earth, that we may seek with our hearts and deeds our Lord and helper, Jesus Christ, whom we look to in the heavens.
