Sebastian Junger

“Instinctively groping for something that tests our mettle, that puts our insecurities to rest, many of us end up in one unhealthy endeavor after another. We work 60 hours a week and die of a heart attack at 55. We try to outdrink our friends and end up as alcoholics. We drive too fast and roll our cars taking sharp turns. And the questions we are really asking – Am I strong? Have I passed the test? – are never answered.”
